Texas Softball Announces Time Change For Alabama Series

The Texas Longhorns find themselves currently facing their toughest challenge they have come across until this point in the season as they are on the road for a ranked series against the No. 4 Alabama Crimson Tide.
And now the top five SEC showdown will end a little earlier than expected as Saturday’s series finale will be moving up several hours as game three will remain on Saturday but will now be played at 12:30 p.m CT and be aired on SEC Network.
Originally the last game of the high profile showdown between the Longhorns and Crimson Tide was initially set for Saturday at 5 p.m CT and was to be aired in ESPN but due to forecasted inclement weathers in Tuscaloosa, forced the ballgame to be moved forward.
Series Finale of Texas vs. Alabama Set to End Earlier

With the updated time on the series finale here’s a look at the remaining schedule for the last two games between the two top five conference foes.
Game 2: Friday, April 3 at 7:30 p.m CT on SEC Network
Game 3: Saturday, April 4 at 12:30 p.m. CT on SEC Network.
The two games are still set for Rhoads Stadium in Tuscaloosa, AL.
The first game of the series between the top five squads was all burnt orange as the Longhorns bounced back after the end of there historic winning streak and their second loss of the season, opening the series with a 9-1 win over the Crimson Tide on Thursday.
Longhorns ace Teagan Kavan pitched all seven frames allowing just a single run from a potent Alabama offense. The junior allowed the lone run while giving up just five hits and punched out nine batters in her seven innings of work.
Leighann Goode continued her statement making senior season as the infielder blasted two home runs on the day notching her first multi-home run game of her career and ended the night 2-3 from the plate to go along with four RBIs.
Junior Viviana Martinez has picked up right where she left off a week ago after an explosive showing against the Texas A&M Aggies. In game one against the Crimson Tide the junior ended the game 2-3 from the dish along with a home run here third in the last four ballgame along with two-RBIs.
The Longhorns will look for their biggest conference series victory of the season so far as they head back out to the dirt of Rhoads Stadium as the look to clinch the series in game two on Friday night.
