UCLA Football: Bruins Hosting 1 Official Visiting Prospect, 4 Unofficial Visitors

UCLA is hosting a plethora of potential future Bruins.

Recruiting season is always in season, especially in the months leading up to spring football.

It's essential for your UCLA Bruins to collect the best talent they can, and this is the time to close the deal on specific prospects who want to join their program. While the Bruins have their eye on a plethora of prospects, they will officially be hosting one three-star recruit, while four local prospects will be on an unofficial visit.

Three-star safety CJ Heard, one of the top uncommitted recruits in the 2024 class, will be heading to Westwood for an official visit.

Heard hails from Woodward Academy in Atlanta, Georgia. He is the 73rd safety in his class and the 93rd-ranked player in his home state. Heard had a sensational senior season; he collected 41 total tackles, six pass breakups, and a forced fumble while accounting for 141 yards of total offense.

The Bruins made an offer to Heard on January 30th and visited the campus days later. He recently visited Colorado and visited Florida Atlantic a day after visiting UCLA.

The four others on unofficial visits are four-star quarterback Brady Smigiel, three-star athlete Drew Cofield, three-star wide receiver Shane Rosenthal, and three-star right end Blake Bryce.

Smigiel, Rosenthal, and Bryce all hail from Newbury Park, California. They are all from the 2025 class and are coming off great junior seasons.

As for Cofield, he's from Ventura, California, and is ranked as the 61st athlete in 2025. He ranks as the 63rd-best player in California in his class.

These four young men already have a ton of eyes on them, and UCLA hopes to land at least one, if not all, of these prospects.
