UCLA Football: Bruins' LA Bowl Win Tops Week 1 Bowl Game Ratings

People tuned in to watch the Bruins win the LA Bowl game

Your UCLA Bruins finished their 2023 NCAA season on a high with a win over the Boise State Broncos, 35-22, in the LA Bowl. The Bruins put up points and shut down their opponents like they've done most of the season.

The Bruins closed out the season in a big way, both on the field and in the TV ratings. According to SportsMediaWatch.com, that Bruins-Broncos game ranked first among all Bowl Week 1 College Football ratings, as The Action Network's Brett McMurphy relays:

The Bruins and Broncos topped the list as they had 2.38 million fans tune into their matchup, as seen on ABC.

In the first week of bowl games, there were no intriguing matchups, and UCLA was the biggest name available to the national audience.

Following UCLA and Boise State was Apalachee State vs. Miami of Ohip, FAMU vs Howard, and Ohio vs. Georgia Southern and  Jacksonville State vs Louisiana to round off the top five.

The season ended with a win and owning the weekend for college football. You can't do anything better than that, but hopefully, 2024 will provide the team with much more success.
