UCLA Football: Bruins Part Ways With OL Coach, Expected to Hire Former NFL Assistant

The Bruins coaching shakeup continues with the loss of OL coach Tim Drevno.

The UCLA Bruins coaching staff has gone through some major changes in the past few months. One of the biggest was former head coach Chip Kelly leaving the program to become the offensive coordinator for Ohio State.

Replacing Kelly is former Bruin DeShaun Foster. Foster was introduced and fans and players were thoroughly excited for him to be heading up the team. Another big addition to the team's coaching staff is former Kansas City Chiefs OC Eric Bieniemy, who is now the OC

It appears the hiring of Bieniemy has led to another shakeup, as the Bruins have announced current OL coach Tim Drevno has now been relieved of his duties.

The Bruins will now bring in former NFL assistant Juan Castillo, who has worked with Bieniemy previously. While Bieniemy is not the HC for the Bruins, we imagine his influence has allowed him to bring in some staff of his choosing.

There have been a lot of moving parts in terms of the coaching staff in the past few months, and the team will now get ready to head to the Big Ten Conference.

The hope is this new staff can help the team make a big splash in the 2024 season.
