UCLA Football: Colorado DC Under Fire Ahead Of Bruins Matchup

One of their key weaknesses.

Deion Sanders' Colorado team takes on their next challenge against your UCLA Bruins this weekend.

The Buffaloes emerge from their bye after a disappointing game against the Cardinal where they blew a 29-0 lead late in overtime.

Stanford lost to UCLA in the Bruins' last matchup but the most polarizing team in college football faces several questions heading into this important conference clash.

"It has been a tough first season at Colorado for defensive coordinator Charles Kelly. Currently, the Buffs rank dead last in team defense at over 470 yards allowed per game. Steady and incremental steps in the right direction could be the difference between winning and losing for the Buffs. The Bruins won’t be an easy matchup for Colorado, either. UCLA ranks 17th in the country in total offense."

Stanford outscored the Buffaloes 46-14 from the second half on and their previous showings haven't been as good either.

The Buffaloes shocked many early in the season but the team's blowout loss to the Ducks took out much of the shine from their spotlight.

Meanwhile, the Bruins themselves have teetered between the fringes of the top 25 and an unranked team due to their own two losses.

Oregon State and Utah both defeated the Bruins on the road thanks to poor performances from freshman QB Dante Moore.

The Bruins' defense has been the highlight of their roster but another quarterback controversy may take headlines from their improved unit.

Moore got benched for Ethan Garbers and UCLA promptly dominated the Cardinal in blowout fashion.

If UCLA wants to keep its ranked status after this week, a win will be crucial against one of the sport's biggest stories this season.
