UCLA Football: Gabriel Murphy Informally Met With NFC Super Bowl Hopeful

The junior defensive lineman met with this NFC East team.

The 2024 NFL Draft is quickly approaching. However, before we get to the draft, one event that excites all NFL fans is the NFL Scouting Combine.

The combine will start on Thursday, and almost every prospect is getting a taste of what it will mean to be a professional. Every Bruin who entered the draft will participate in the combine, including their star junior defensive lineman Gabriel Murphy

Murphy is set to raise his draft stock by April's draft, and he's already caught the eye of one NFC Super Bowl.

According to Devin Jackson of The Philadelphia Inquirer, the Philadelphia Eagles informally met with the defensive lineman.

According to NFL draft buzz, Murphy is projected to go in the third round of the upcoming draft.

The Dallas, Texas native is an impressive athlete who is quick, agile, and has a good change of direction, giving him the potential to be an effective pass rusher in the NFL.

Murphy played a significant role in UCLA's incredible defensive year in 2023. In his final college season, he recorded 38 total tackles, 16 tackles for loss, eight sacks, and two passes defended in 13 games. He was a force to be reckoned with alongside superstar edge rusher Laiatu Latu.

Murphy transferred from North Texas and spent two years in the blue and gold. The junior defensive line would greatly help the struggling Eagles' defense.

Wherever Murphy lands, he will undoubtedly impact his new team.
