UCLA Football: New Poll Elevates Bruins Ahead Of Deion Sanders, Colorado in Week 9 Matchup

Bruins moving on up!

Thanks to their lopsided 42-7 win over Stanford this past weekend, the UCLA Bruins saw themselves move up in the latest College Coaches Poll. As they get ready for their game against Colorado this weekend, the Bruins now sit ranked at number 24, and they have the look of a ranked team.

Just a little over a week since they fell flat against Oregon State in a 36-24 defeat, UCLA pulled out all the stops against Stanford to get the dominant win. This includes making a change at the quarterback position from true freshman Dante Moore to junior Ethan Garbers.

Garbers took the reins by storm and led the Bruins offense to victory. He looked the part, albeit for one game, and he will likely get the start again this weekend.

“After throwing six interceptions in UCLA’s previous three games, five-star true freshman Dante Moore was benched — at least to start the game — in favor of Ethan Garbers, who impressed with 240 yards and two touchdowns. I’d assume that Garbers will maintain his starting role moving forward.”

As the Bruins get ready for the Buffalos, they know it will be a challenge. Colorado is coming off their bye week, and they will be ready to go. The last time we saw Colorado, they had just blown a massive lead to Stanford, so they surely will want to get that taste out of their mouths.

UCLA can’t take the Buffalos for granted, no matter their record. They need to see them as that top-tier program from the start of the season because Colorado is coming to the Rose Bowl to rip their hearts out.

Led by head coach Deion Sanders, Colorado wants to make the most of their season. Getting a win on the road over the Bruins would be an excellent way to help salvage things, so UCLA will need to be careful.
