UCLA Football: Star Lineman Announces Transfer Portal Entrance

The former three-star offensive lineman will find a new school in 2024

After one season as a UCLA Bruin, offensive lineman Jake Wiley has entered the transfer portal.

Wiley announced via his Twitter/X account that he has decided to enter the portal early Monday morning.

Wiley only spent one season as a Bruin after transferring from Colorado last off-season. The redshirt senior will have one more season of eligibility due to the COVID-19 year.

The 6'6", 310-pound lineman becomes the fifth player on the 2023 roster to enter the portal, joining receivers Kam Brown and Keegan Jones, tight end Carsen Ryan, and freshman quarterback Dante Moore.

Wiley didn't get that much run in his one year at UCLA. It was thought he'd be the starting right guard; however, he was only able to get some spot minutes after he couldn't beat out UCLA veteran Josh Carlin.

The transfer portal has changed the college game like none other. This UCLA is losing a ton of players, but there's no doubt they will sign some key players of their own via the portal.

This off-season will be massive for the Bruins as they prepare to move to the Big Ten.
