UCLA Football: Watch Transfer TE Score First Bruins TD Against Stanford

The big-bodied tight end only makes big plays!

Your UCLA Bruins walked into Stanford Stadium on October 21st and made a statement routing the team 42-7 in a game that was over pretty quickly.

After scoring 21 points in the first half, all on the ground, the Bruins kept the scoring going. Adding to the ground dominance, the team would add a pair of touchdowns through the air in the third quarter.

One of these touchdowns was a 20-yard pass to Moliki Matavao, a third-year tight end who transferred over from Oregon this offseason.

The 6'6 262 lb tight end played two seasons at Oregon racking up 209 yards on 19 catches with a pair of touchdowns.

So far, in his short Bruin career, Matavao already has 177 yards and a touchdown. The more impressive thing is that he only has 7 receptions on the year.

The big body of Matavao is full of big plays averaging 25.3 yards per catching. Matavao is pretty consistent in his big plays, registering at least one catch in every game of at least 12 or more yards.

This Bruins offense is filled with playmakers on the ground with Carson Steele and TJ Harden, and with pass catches like J. Michael Sturdivant and Matavao. This Bruins offense is a two-headed machine with an even better defense.

Look for Matavao to continue his season against the Colorado Buffaloes, as the Bruins look to face off against star Shedeur Sanders and his coach/father Deion Sanders.
