UCLA Basketball: Bruin-Turned-Standout Rookie Open To NBA Dunk Contest

Could we see the former Bruin standout on one of the biggest stages the NBA offers?

The UCLA Bruins have produced some of the best talents we've seen in the sport of basketball. One of their most recent standout former All-Pac-12 forward Jaime Jaquez Jr. Jaquez declared for the draft after four years at UCLA, and boy, were they unforgettable.

He made a name for himself in Westwood and continues to do so as a member of the Miami Heat. Jaquez is having himself one heck of a rookie season thus far, making him one of the more surprise picks from the 2023 NBA Draft.

However, Jaime is looking to continue to shock NBA fans as the season progresses. In a recent interview with the Miami Herald, the 22-year-old said he would consider joining the dunk contest during NBA all-star weekend.

After seeing that highlight reel, who else wouldn't want to see Jaquez in the dunk contest?

Jaime is sneaking athletic and has some bunnies and creativity that would be a great watch for the all-star weekend. There's no doubt Jaquez Jr. will be a part of the all-star weekend, at least on Friday night, for the rookie and sophomore game.

Could we see a Jaime appearance on Saturday night for the dunk contest? The push for Jaime will be hot after that highlight reel, and hopefully, we could get him in.
