UCLA Basketball: Lazar Stefanovic Has Become a Stalwart Piece of Bruins Offense

Lazar Stefanovic is becoming a huge piece of the Bruins' offense.

The UCLA Bruins have appeared to come alive in their last four games. The team holds a 3-1 record, which includes statement wins over the USC Trojans and Washington.

The team has begun to turn things around for their earlier struggles, including getting blown out by Utah. A big reason why the team is starting to see so much success has everything to do with junior guard Lazar Stefanovic.

Stefanovic has come alive in the 3-1 stretch the Bruins are on. Per UCLA's game notes, During last week's victory against USC, Stefanovic logged 17 points and went 9 for 9 in free throws.

Based on that performance and the last four games, he is currently averaging 16.8 PPG, 7.5 rebounds, and 2.0 assists. This includes shooting 43.2% from the field and 50% in three-point shots.

Stefanovic and Adem Bona are the anchors of the team, and when they are both on their game, the team continues to showcase the toughness that head coach Mick Cronin has been preaching about all season.

The Bruins can work their way into qualifying for the NCAA Tournament if they continue to showcase their grit. It will be up to Stefanovic to continue his communication with Bona and the rest of the team.
