UCLA Women's Basketball: Bruins Star Climbs School Record Books Vs Cal

Charisma Osborne now climbs within the top three of UCLA's women's basketball all-time scoring list.

Your UCLA Lady Bruins secured an impressive 17th victory of the season on Friday night, clinching a decisive win against their Northern California rivals, the California Golden Bears. The Lady Bruins exhibited dominance right from the beginning, winning all four quarters.

This notable win propels them closer to securing the final Pac-12 title as we will know it.

Graduate student Charisma Osborne, hailing from Moreno Valley, California, was a standout performer in this stellar victory.

Osborne's brilliance on the court not only contributed to the team's success but also marked a personal milestone. She has moved to third in the UCLA women's basketball's all-time scoring list, surpassing the record set by former four-year center/power forward Maylana Martin, who wore the Bruins jersey from 1996 to 2000.

The moment that elevated Osborne to the third spot occurred with less than two minutes remaining in the second quarter, further extending the Bruins' lead at that juncture.

Osborne finished the game as the leading scorer, putting up an impressive 32 points on 14-for-20 shooting from the field and a 2-for-4 performance from beyond the arc. This 32-point showcase marks the fifth instance in her career where she has scored 30 points or more in a single game.

The anticipation now builds as she sets her sights on the second position in UCLA's women's basketball all-time scoring list, undoubtedly leaving fans eager to witness more standout performances in the games to come.
