UNC vs Miami Preview

In this story:
After Saturday's win over Clemson, a quick turnaround lies ahead for North Carolina, as the Miami Hurricanes come to Chapel Hill for a Monday night showdown.
The Tar Heels put together one of their most complete performances of the season against the Clemson Tigers, cruising to a 91-71 victory on their home floor.
Up next is a top 15 opponent in the Hurricanes, who enter on a four game winning streak.
At 11-4 in conference play, Miami sits half a game out of first place in the ACC.
Senior guard Isaiah Wong paces the Hurricane offense with a team-high 16.1 points and 3.5 assists per game. Wong is one of three dynamic guards in the backcourt, as Jordan Miller (14.7 points) and Nijel Pack (12.6 points) all score in double figures.
As a team, Miami shoots 36.3 percent from three, aided by Wong, who shoots 37.6%, and Pack, who connects on 40.3 percent from beyond the arc.
In the frontcourt, Arkansas State transfer Norchad Omier is one of the most underrated big men in the conference. Omier pulls down a team-high 10 rebounds per game, while leading the conference with a 61.2 shooting percentage.
The Hurricanes possess the No. 1 scoring offense in the ACC at 79 points per game, while also leading the league in field goal percentage (48.4%).
North Carolina pulls down just .5 more offensive rebounds than Miami, but five more total rebounds per game, making the battle on the glass even more important.
The Tar Heels are coming off of an incredible performance against the Clemson Tigers, connecting on 15 three-point attempts and recording 17 assists.
Caleb Love and R.J. Davis combined for 40 points and 10 three pointers, while Armando Bacot continued his impressive campaign, recording another double-double with 19 points and 11 rebounds.
Puff Johnson and D'Marco Dunn contributed quality minutes off of the bench and provided consistent shooting from the outside.
The biggest difference for North Carolina was their play-making ability on offense. Ball movement combined with the proper reads helped create open shot opportunities and high-percentage looks.
On defense, Leaky Black was successful in shutting down Hunter Tyson, holding the fifth year forward to three points on just two shot attempts. Black was a game-high +25 on the floor and added in seven points and seven rebounds.
With Miami making the visit to Chapel Hill, a resume-boosting opportunity awaits for a team that is looking to find its footing heading into the home stretch of the regular season.
Can the Tar Heels build off of their most recent performance and earn a quality win over the Hurricanes?
