USC Basketball: Bronny James Selected by Massive Market Team in New 2024 Mock Draft

In this story:
There are few names as the new college basketball season gets going with as much intrigue to them as Bronny James. James, the son of NBA legend LeBron James, will be attending USC this fall and all eyes will be on him.
His father has spoken at length about his desire to play alongside him once he is in the NBA. Many around the game believe that wherever he gets drafted will turn into a goldmine because that would mean the elder James would head there.
Right now, the elder James can opt out of his deal with the Los Angeles Lakers after this upcoming season, giving him flexibility if that is what he wants to do.
Currently Bronny is being projected to be selected in the mid to late first round, depending where you look. Some mock drafts even have him going in the early second round but he is seen as a decent prospect. The wonder is whether teams may take him higher than they normally would, just to get a chance to possibly have LeBron come to their roster.
In a recent CBS 2024 mock draft, Bronny was projected to be taken by the New York Knicks in the first round. This certainly would be interesting if it were to happen as the elder James has made it know throughout his career that he loves to play at Madison Square Garden.
"There are few more polarizing players in the 2024 class than James, the son of LeBron James, but his feel for the game, and selfless style of play helps contribute to winning basketball. He'll be one of the most fascinating prospects to watch"
Per CBS Sports
LeBron could get to finish his historic career playing alongside his son and playing in the largest market within the United States.
It would also give Bronny a chance to play in the market and could be a great landing spot for his career. These are just some of the storylines to watch over the next year as his college career plays out.
