USC Basketball: Local Star Point Guard Discusses Official Visit With Trojans

In this story:
6'3" rising Harvard Westlake senior point guard Trent Perry, the fifth-ranked player at his position in the class of 2024, was a pivotal part of his Vegas Elite team's run to the final during this summer's Nike Peach Jam. He was the club's second-leading scorer (13 points per).
Accordingly, Perry is already being courted by a murderer's row of colleges, including your very own USC Trojans. He has already taken official visits with USC, Vanderbilt, Colorado and St. Mary's.
In a new interview with Jamie Shaw of On3, Perry explained how his Trojans visit differed from his meetings with the other programs.
“That visit was more about getting to know the school and how they act with the basketball team," Perry said. "Since USC is local, I know about the team, so that visit was much more about seeing how the program is run. They let Boogie Ellis go last year. I feel like if I were to choose USC, I would step into a similar role and show what I can do. I’ve seen first-hand that Coach [Andy] Enfield lets his guys play."
Perry, seen as a four-star recruit, is listed as the No. 38 prospect among his class, according to the latest On3 rankings. He went on to explain how he has been looking to improve his play heading into his final prep season.
“I’ve been working on every little part of my game, staying consistent through it all," Perry said. "I watch a lot of Devin Booker, how he comes off pin-downs and creates his shot off-ball. Also, a lot of Damian Lillard, how he gets to his spots and is a threat to shoot it or pass it.”

Tell Alex, were you in the joint the night Wilt scored 100 points? Or when the Celtics won titles back-to-back and didn't give nobody no kind of slack?
