Former USC Star Big Man Builds In-Home Gym After 2023 Playoff Failures with NBA Squad

Evan Mobley has one of the highest upsides among all forwards and centers in the NBA right now and he's put that on full display ever since he suited up for Compton Magic in high school and the USC Trojans for his freshman year of college. His versatility on offense along with his ability to guard multiple positions on defense paved the way for him to get selected third overall in the 2021 NBA Draft by the Cleveland Cavaliers.
Mobley instantly got minutes on a squad that was trying to get back in the conversation as one of the best teams in the East and with him next to Jarret Allen down low and Donovan Mitchell and Darius Garland handling business in the back court, many favored Cleveland in their 2023 first round matchup over the New York Knicks.
The former Trojans big man was in the midst of an excellent sophomore campaign as he averaged 16 points, nine rebounds and 1.5 blocks during the regular season. However, his points dropped to ten in Cleveland's first round matchup against the Knicks and Mitchell Robinson beat him in some pivotal games on the boards.
Mobley stands at 7'0 and also has a 7'4 wingspan, which helps him a lot when it comes to blocking and contesting shots. However, he also weighs about 215 lbs and has a lanky frame which was a big reason why Robinson got the best of him certain nights.
However, Cleveland's President of Basketball Operations has assured that the young forward is already making the proper investments to ensure that he gets stronger.
“The development has continued, and I think he wants that. He wants those expectations. He feels the urgency,” Altman said, via Lewis. “He’s already investing in a home gym for himself this offseason, which is remarkable for a guy his age to be thinking about, ‘OK, I need to get stronger, I need to get better.’
