Former USC Star Leads Cleveland Cavaliers to 1st Summer League Title, Named MVP

In this story:
Fans of the USC Trojans are very familiar with the Mobley brothers and when the Cleveland Cavaliers opted to select Isaiah with the 49th pick in the 2022 NBA Draft to pair him with his younger brother Evan, it was an amazing move on their part to keep them together. The two had played together for years and started gaining national attention due to their dominance at Rancho Christian High School, Compton Magic and eventually at USC.
Isaiah spent majority of his rookie season with the Cavs' G-League affiliate, the Cleveland Charge, where he was able to average around 21 points, eight boards and four assists in 22 matches. The 6'8 big man wasn't able to find a role within their main roster just yet and when the opportunity came for him to continue improving in the 2023 summer league, he jumped at the opportunity.
Joined by marquee names in Emoni Bates and Sharife Cooper, Mobley was able to help the lead the squad to an undefeated record and even punched their ticket to the championship game in Las Vegas against the Houston Rockets thanks to a game-winning basket in overtime against the Brooklyn Nets.
And he made sure to get the job done once the championship game rolled around as he dominated in every way possible, finishing with a stat line of 28 points and 11 boards as Cleveland came out on top 99-78. Mobley was also named MVP of the game.

Even though many people love the Cavs' current roster with the likes of Donovan Mitchell, Darius Garland and Evan Mobley leading the way, Isaiah proved over these past few weeks that he holds all the skills and physical attributes to contribute this season as well.
The two brothers have always played their best basketball when next to one another and I have a feeling we'll see them take the floor again together this season!
