USC Basketball: Pundit Projects Depth Chart For Veteran NBA Team Starting 2 Trojans

In this story:
There are multiple NBA teams with players who attended USC, as the Trojans basketball program has taken a massive leap in recent years. It has allowed for more talent to enter the league and has been great for the school itself.
But one team that has multiple former Trojans would be the Chicago Bulls. They have two big-time players who attended USC at the same time, and it’s great to see them link up together again. This would be forward DeMar DeRozan and center Nikola Vucevic.
The two players have been with Chicago for a few seasons now, and they are about to start another year together. It could end up being the final one with this core of players because the Bulls haven’t lived up to their potential the last two seasons.
But for now, they are teammates, and anytime they step out onto the floor at the same time, Trojans fans are reminded of their time at USC. They both project to be starters for the Bulls this season, and Frank Urbina of HoopsHype gave a projected depth chart prior to the start of the new year.
DeRozan played one season with USC, starting in all 35 games back in the 2007-2008 season. He averaged 13.9 points and 5.7 rebounds per game, leading him to be a first-round selection of the Toronto Raptors. He was the Pac-10 tournament MVP in his one season with USC, and he also was named to the Pac-10 All-Freshman team as well.

The hometown kid has made USC proud with his multiple-time All-Star selections, and he continues to represent the school and Southern California well.
As for Vucevic, he also was a first-round draft pick back in 2011 when the Philadelphia 76ers took him 16th overall. He played three years with the Trojans, but in his third season, he finally found his footing. Vucevic averaged 17.1 points and 10.3 rebounds per game over 34 games played, helping lead to him being a first-rounder.
It was an impressive showing for the big-man, and he has carved out a nice NBA career. Like DeRozan, he is a multi-time All-Star, and he has continued to grow his game each season.
Both players have done right by USC and proven that the Trojans program can produce big-time NBA talent. And as the new NBA season gets going soon, the Trojans faithful will be rooting for their success once again.
