USC Basketball: Writer Bemoans USC's 2023-24 Schedule

In this story:
Your USC Trojans will be one of the hottest commodities this year and expect everybody to try and score themselves at least one ticket to the Galen Center at some point to see what the hype is all about. USC has always had a respectable basketball program that works hard and produces NBA-level talent but to bring in the number one high school player in the nation along with the son of LeBron James... the expectations just skyrocketed.
And the likes of Bronny James, Isaiah Collier and the rest of the Trojans will be put to the test since day one as they will take on the Kansas State Wildcats in their first game of the year in Las Vegas.
However, it doesn't seem like all experts are sold on the Trojans facing the best of competition like they should and a columnist from the Inside USC blog, Scott Wolf, took a look back at their basketball schedule from 1966 to draw comparisons to now.
"Bob Boyd
is a Trojan. He played basketball at USC and then became the Trojans’ basketball coach. He even turned down the Lakers’ job while he was at USC. He wasn’t a paycheck collector like
Andy Enfield
. Look at the first 10 games he played in the 1966-67 season. Two games against No. 1-ranked UCLA, who went undefeated that season (and USC had to play the Bruins two more times in conference). Some of the other teams were not great that season but these are all legitimate Division I programs. It’s almost unheard of today to see a schedule like that."

We'll have to see how the 2023-2024 schedule is looking like once it fully drops!
