A pair of USC Women of Troy, at two opposite ends of the positional spectrum, have been pegged for a serious preseason honor.

Per a USC press statement, highly-regarded incoming freshman combo guard JuJu Watkins and returning junior center Rayah Marshall are expected to be some of the best players during the 2023-24 NCAA season.

The 6'4" Marshall has been listed among 14 other players on the Preseason All-Pac-12 Team. The 6'2" Watkins, who was the top high school player from among the class of 2003 while at Sierra Canyon School in Chatsworth, was listed as an Honorable Mention.

Marshall served for Team USA during the 2023 FIBA AmeriCup competition over the summer, helping the club earn a silver medal. Across 28 contests in 2022-23, she averaged 12.7 points, 11.5 rebounds, an insane 3.5 blocks, 1.5 steals, and 1.4 dimes per bout. Her 98 blocks for the Trojans last year set a single-season record.

During her tear through the prep school world, Watkins was named the Gatorade National Player of the Year, the Naismith Prep Player of the Year, the McDonald's All-American Game MVP, and a two-time California Ms. Basketball honoree.

Tell Alex, were you in the joint the night Wilt scored 100 points? Or when the Celtics won titles back-to-back and didn't give nobody no kind of slack?
