USC Women's Basketball: Star Freshman JuJu Watkins Secures Big Double-Digit Honor

JuJu Watkins continues to add to her historic resume.

It's starting to feel commonplace that each week that wraps up for NCAAW, we will see star freshman JuJu Watkins revealed to be the Freshman of the Week. Watkins already set the record a conference record with her ninth FOTW, but now she is in the double digits.

The Trojans season is not close to being wrapped up and Watkins has already secured her 10th FOTW honor. That's not to mention that she has already broken the record for the Trojans in terms of 30-point games.

Watkins has secured six 30-point games dating back to the Baha Mar Pink Flamingo Championship.

No matter what happens in every game, we expect to see Watkins at the top of the scoreboard. Her 26.1 PPG is 2nd in the nation only behind perennial NCAAW player Caitlin Clark.

Watkins continues to show her grit and toughness, even falling with cramps after the Trojans took down the Bruins.

Sadly, the Trojans have lost back-to-back games for the first time this season. Their first loss to Utah, which ended with a final score of 78-58, still saw Watkins put up 26 points.

The Trojans last loss to Colorado 63-59 still saw Watkins put up 20 points. There is a big reason why she continues to secure FOTW honors, as she shows up every single game.

Hopefully, Watkins and the Trojans can right the ship when they take on Washington State on January 26.
