USC Football: Quick Analysis of The 8 Trojans In This Year's NFL Combine

Here's how all eight Trojans fared at the combine.

Eight USC Trojans were in attendance at the NFL Scouting Combine in 2024 ahead of the NFL Draft this April. Here's how all eight did at the combine.

Caleb Williams - QB

Williams, who has a great chance at going No. 1 overall, was one of the primary talking points of the combine. Williams opted not to throw at the combine or participate in any drills. Williams will instead do this at USC's Pro Day on March 20. He also did not do medical testing at the combine.

While there are no physical measures to go off from Williams at the combine, he did get to speak with the media and several teams, so franchises got the opportunity to know him better as a person.

Brenden Rice - WR

As the son of Jerry Rice, Rice naturally attracted some attention at the combine. With his dad watching, Brenden recorded a 4.50 in his 40-yard dash, which ranked 24th. Rice finished with a 36.5" vertical jump, a 9'11 broad jump, and 13 bench reps.

Rice's physical tools in terms of speed and quickness will not stand out among some of the much faster receivers. Instead, Rice can leverage his physical frame at 6'2 as well as his reputation as a touchdown scorer to try and make an impact.

Tahj Washington - WR

Washington competed in just the vertical jump and broad jump at the combine, recording a 35" vertical and a 10'2" broad jump. At 5'2 and 174 lbs., Washington will not be the most physically imposing receiver, but he's a productive player who can contribute in the return game.

MarShawn Lloyd - RB

In his combine performance, Lloyd ran a speedy 4.46 40-yard dash. He also notched a 36" vertical jump, 9'10" broad jump, and 25 bench press reps. Lloyd's 40-yard dash time ranked seventh among running backs and his bench press finished third.

Jarrett Kingston - OG

Trojans guard Kingston had an impressive combine in which he got to display his athleticism. He recorded a 5.02-second 40-yard dash, 31.5" vertical jump, 9'3" broad jump, 7.53 three-cone drill, 4.47-second 20-yard shuttle and 32 bench press reps.

Kingston's 40-time ranked ninth, his 20-yard shuttle ranked fifth and his bench reps were second.

Calen Bullock - S

Bullock participated in the 40-yard dash, running it in 4.48 seconds. He finished with a 1.51-second ten-yard split. His 40-time ranked seventh while his ten-yard split tied for first. That quick burst will make Bullock appealing to scouts.

Solomon Byrd - EDGE

Byrd did not run the 40-yard dash but participated in several other combine drills for pass rushers. He is expected to be a Day 3 pick.

Christian Roland-Wallace - DB

Roland-Wallace participated in the bench press, recording 17 reps. After spending four years with Arizona, Roland-Wallace completed his final collegiate season with the Trojans, notching another year of experience before heading to the draft.
