Maybe a change could fix the issues from this season.

One of the biggest problems for the USC Trojans football team this season has been their struggles on defense, but it is far from their only problem. There is one that seems to fall by the wayside because of the defense, and that is their offensive line.

It has caused a ton of issues over the last few weeks and has started to present itself as an issue for this team. The offensive line lost some key players from a year ago, and it seems they haven't recovered.

They are one of the keys to this team because they hold the job of protecting star quarterback Caleb Williams. In their last game against Notre Dame, the offensive line had Williams scrambling for his life, and the offense ultimately suffered for it.

They can’t have that can't performance again, and everyone knows it. Head coach Lincoln Riley understands this fact and discussed some potential changes that he may make to the offensive line.

“Obviously I think this is what playing some of those guys early like we did in the season, getting some different lineups some experience, gives you some potential options if you feel like you want to make a personnel change and we’re gonna evaluate that this week and see if that’s the right thing.”

If the Trojans make a change, it could benefit multiple aspects of the team. Not only would it help Williams, but it could also see the running game get back on track.

“I think the bigger thing for us is we just gotta get back to playing more 11-man ball. Theres a lot of good on the tape but the results have not consistently been there.”

The Trojans have a ton of talent on the offensive side of the ball, but it's now time to put it all together. They can't afford to slip up if they want to reach their goals, so a change could be the thing needed to get them going stronger.
