Thompson (Alabaster, AL) safety Anquon Fegans is one of the most coveted safeties in the country. The high school junior currently holds 30 offers, but recently announced on Twitter that he will be focusing on 12 of these schools. USC made the cut, along with Oregon, Michigan, Florida State, Clemson, and a handful of SEC programs including in-state Alabama, LSU and Georgia. Fegans stands 6'2" and 180 pounds, according to 247Sports, and he is the second best safety and 21st best overall recruit in the class of 2025. USC's 2026 recruiting class currently consists of four commitments and their 2024 recruiting class has 19 commits.
So, what makes Fegans such a great prospect and why should USC fans care?
Here is 247Sports scribe Andrew Irvin's scouting report on Fegans:
"A good-looking safety prospect that already has some valuable experience under his belt having gotten varsity snaps as a freshman for Alabama’s 7A state champs," Irvin writes. "Well-put together at 6-foot-1, 180 pounds, but nowhere close to being maxed out, and could eventually push 200 pounds or more once lifting college. Has been utilized mainly as a deep safety early on in the prep career, but has also doubled as a nickel defender in certain situations."
Donte Williams is the lead recruiter for Fegans. Williams is one of the best recruiters in the country, and with Williams leading the recruitment of any defensive back prospect, USC will have a good shot at landing Fegans.
