USC Football: Trojans Offer New Jersey Linebacker Kamar Archie

In this story:
Hun School (Trenton, NJ) linebacker Kamar Archie took to Twitter to announce that he's received an offer from USC. Archie measures up at just over 6 feet and weighs in around 220 pounds. Outside linebackers/assistant head coach for defense Roy Manning is serving as Archie's main recruiter.
Archie was previously considered a 2024 recruit, but he reclassified to 2025 as an underclassman at Hun School. Archie is fielding offers from a ton of top programs such as Clemson, Wisconsin, Notre Dame, Oklahoma, Rutgers, and Penn State, where he recently took an unofficial visit. 88 15 4
On3 considers Archie as the 88th-best prospect in the class of 2025, the 15th-best linebacker, and the 4th-best player coming out of New Jersey. As it stands, USC has received zero verbal commitments for its 2025 class but currently has four commitments in its 2026 class.
Honored to have earned an offer from the University of Southern California ✌🏾@Red_Zone75 @CoachRoyM @uscfb pic.twitter.com/77JhJxL3W9

Archie been on campus in Happy Valley multiple times, which is likely why On3 is predicting he will land at Penn State. Archie is being recruited as a linebacker, but he's also a talented running back. His style of play is similar to that of current Trojan linebacker Raesjon Davis. As was Davis, Archie is a four-star prospect by most of the recruiting networks.
D'Anton Lynn has bene quoted as placing versatility in high regard for the type of players he will look to bring in to play in his defense. Archie doesn't exactly fit the mold, as his length / lack of experience at outside linebacker could limit his usage around the defense. He projects almost exclusively as an off-ball middle linebacker.
