The Florida native was a four-star recruit coming out of Clearwater Academy International. Zandamela committed to USC in June 2023. The freshman lineman will depart USC after one season where he hardly got playing time in a disastrous 2023 season.
Before his senior year in high school, he was named the 2023 USA Today Florida Network Preseason All-State Team and the 2023 MaxPreps Preseason All-American Second Team.
He was also ranked as the number one interior lineman in the country by 247Sports, ESPN, and Rivals. The 18-year-old didn't have the type of freshman season he had expected and will look to make an impact elsewhere.
