USC Football: 4-Star Junior LB Projected As Trojans Commit

Trojans are projected to land this elite linebacker from California.

The USC Trojans had one heck of a weekend last week when they acquired a handful of top prospects in the country—two of them were top defensive line prospects. It was a good week for the Trojans; however, they aren't nearly done.

The prospects should keep coming in, including 2025 four-star linebacker Matai Tagoa'i.
According to ON3 Recruits, the Trojans are projected to land Tagoa'i.

Tagoa'i, from San Clemente, California, is ranked 71st nationally, the number 10 linebacker in his class, and the number three player in his home state. He is from the class of 2025, and many top programs in the country are on his tail—programs like Texas, Alabama, Arizona, Washington, and Utah, to name a few.

Tagoa'i visited the campus earlier this week, and it did justice for the Trojans. After that visit, USC took a massive lead in the ON3 Recruiting Predictions Machine.

Grabbing these types of top defensive recruits should be the new norm, thanks to coach Eric Henderson. In a short amount of time, he's made his presence known on the recruiting front, stealing top defensive prospects from other programs and bringing them to Southern California.

There's no doubt USC should dominate their backyard now. The challenge now is stealing top players from different states like Texas, Florida, and Georgia. USC is looking to make their way back to glory, and they know now it all starts on defense.
