Vanderbilt continues to stockpile defensive lineman with another commitment from the NCAA transfer portal.

The latest commitment landed Friday when defensive tackle Terry Nwabuisi-Ezeala announced he would be transferring to Vanderbilt from North Carolina.

Nwabuisi-Ezeala was a Tar Heel for just one semester after signing with North Carolina as part of its 2025 high school recruiting class. He had originally signed with Wake Forest out of high school, but was released from his National Letter of Intent after Demon Deacons’ coach Dave Clawson retired.

A native of Munic, Germany, Nwabuisi-Ezeala played at the same high school program as Vanderbilt defensive end Linus Zunk, Rabin Gap (Ga.) Nacoochie School. He was recruited by Vanderbilt while in high school and will ultimately end up in Nashville with his former high school teammate.
