Texas Tech forward Robert Jennings, one of Virginia's top transfer portal targets, has scheduled an official visit to UVA for the weekend of April 14-16.

Jennings released his top five transfer landing spots on April 1st and included Virginia along with Utah, St. Louis, Maryland, and a potential return to Texas Tech. A 6'7" forward from Desoto, Texas, Jennings appeared in 30 games with four starts in his true freshman season as a Red Raider, but he played only 8.7 minutes per game and averaged 2.7 points and 1.9 rebounds. Jennings, a player who was recruited by the Virginia coaching staff out of high school, entered the transfer portal at the end of the season as Texas Tech went through a head coaching change.

Jennings, who is the No. 17 power forward in On3's transfer portal rankings, has three years of eligibility remaining and is the second transfer to schedule a visit to UVA, joining Merrimack transfer Jordan Minor, who will visit Virginia on April 6th and 7th

Virginia could be looking to fill as many as five or even six roster spots with transfer portal additions this offseason, as the Cavaliers currently have six scholarship spots open with Reece Beekman and Armaan Franklin declaring for the 2023 NBA Draft, although Beekman has maintained his collegiate eligibility to keep open the option of returning to UVA next season.
