Virginia Picks Up Commitment From Three-Star Tight End Trevor Ladd

Ladd is the second tight end and 15th overall recruit to commit to UVA from the recruiting class of 2024

Virginia picked up a commitment from three-star tight end Trevor Ladd on Friday afternoon. 

A 6'4" tight end from Encinitas, California, Ladd was also recruited by Nevada, Montana State, Idaho, Penn, and Columbia. Ladd took an official visit to UVA in April and also took visits to North Carolina and Washington this year. 

Rated a three-star prospect by 247Sports, Ladd is ranked the No. 105 tight end in the country in the class of 2024. In his junior season at La Costa Canyon in 2023, Ladd hauled in 35 catches for 605 yards and eight touchdowns and was named a first-team all-league selection.

Ladd is the second tight end to commit to UVA in the 2024 recruiting class, joining John Rogers out of Episcopal High School in Alexandria, Virginia.
