In this story:

Two added participants in Wednesday's University of Washington football practice were running back Tybo Rogers and safety Diesel Gordon, freshmen who apparently have served out their punishment for indefinite suspensions that involved unspecified team rules infractions.

Both players were back in uniform but not wearing pads. After their absences, It's likely they will need to meet conditioning requirements before engaging in contact again.

The return of the 5-foot-11, 185-pound Rogers from Bakersfield, California, will help bolster a running-back position group that just lost starter Cam Davis to a season-ending knee injury.

Rogers was one of a handful of players who returned kickoffs in Wednesday's practice, with the Huskies looking for kick-return replacements now that senior wide receiver and return-specialist Giles Jackson has a cast on his left hand even while practicing in a limited capacity and Davis, who returned kickoffs, is unavailable.

Gordon, a 6-foot, 164-pound defensive back from Arlington, Texas, worked with the safeties through their practice drills.

Players who didn't who were not in practice uniforms and presumably injured were Oregon cornerback transfer Darren Barkins and freshman edge rusher Jacob Lane.

Senior safety Asa Turner wore a large cast on his left hand and arm, but worked with the No. 1 defense.

The starting lineups appear set as fall camp winds down and the Huskies soon turn to game-week preparation. However, redshirt freshman Parker Brailsford continues to be rewarded. He drew several snaps with the No. 1 offense at both right and left guard.

Wednesday's practice was the final opportunity for media members to watch the team in action, with Kalen DeBoer and his coaching staff choosing to practice in private while making Boise State game installs.
