3 True Freshmen To Watch At Fall Camp

In this story:
Fall camp is a little over two weeks away. The impending Husky season is filled with sky-high expectations, so in all likelihood the only time fans should see any of the members of the 2023 recruiting class is late in blowouts.
Kalen DeBoer's coaching staff pulled in the country's 29th overall recruiting class according to 247 Sports and now it's time to see what it's made of. As other media members begin to make their picks on who they're excited to watch as camp begins, I wanted to get in on the fun.
One player who you won't find on this list is four-star cornerback Curley Reed, because if you want to read more about the blue-chip recruit you can click here. Or... here. With that being said, who else should fans keep an eye on this fall?
"Honestly, I'm just ready to come keep the DBU tradition going."

CB Caleb Presley
The original intention of this article was to keep it to true freshmen who didn't participate in spring practice, but there has been a lot of buzz swirling about the highest-rated member of Washington's recruiting class. If he's truly made the jump it sounds like he has, he's going to be fun to watch this fall, even if he doesn't see the field.
WR Rashid Williams
The four-star receiver from Pittsburg High School in California is a seamless fit for DeBoer's offense. He's a route technician who can dominate in the slot at the college level. He'll probably spend a lot of time working with another true freshman, quarterback Austin Mack, and could be a big-time producer for the Huskies within a few years.
OT Elishah Jackett
Offensive-line coach Scott Huff's top recruit by the 247 Composite rankings, Jackett has all sorts of potential. He moves very well on film and in an offensive lineman's first year, that's the biggest thing that fans should look for. If he displays good footwork while adding weight to his frame, he could find a path to the field rather quickly.

I've followed the Huskies for my entire life, and to be in a position where I get to cover them full-time is nothing short of an honor. After graduating from Lasell University in 2019, I moved to Seattle to pursue my dream of working in sports media. While writing for the Husky Haul, I also covered local sports for the Everett Daily Herald before the COVID-19 pandemic. After being hired by Realdawg.com in February of 2021, I also transitioned into doing a lot of entertainment writing, as I work on a variety of magazines as a contributing writer for Centennial Media, and have also contributed to Emmy Magazine, as well as Walt Disney Television Studios.
