Each week of the Husky football season, I make a prediction about the upcoming Washington Husky football game on Q13 Fox’s “Talkin’ Huskies” Featuring Q13 Sports Anchor Aaron Levine, Michelle Ludtka and myself (Terry Hollimon), Talkin’ Huskies airs every Friday night and Saturday morning on Q13 Fox in Seattle.

This week the Dawgs have a huge challenge when the Oregon Ducks come calling. At 12:30 PM in Husky Stadium, the Dawgs will face off with one of the best defensive units in college football, and a future first round NFL draft pick in quarterback Justin Herbert.

When the Huskies are firing on all cylinders, they operate like a well oiled machine. We saw what the offense is capable of last week when the Dawgs dusted off the Arizona Wildcats in the desert, 51-27. But when it’s not firing on all cylinders, it can look very bad (see:Stanford Game, 2019).

Defensively, the Huskies are still trying to find their identity. They are very young at most positions, but are very talented. They have been getting valuable experience this season, and I think they are starting put it together. The key for them is going to be able to control the Oregon run game and keep them in 3rd and long situations. I think that if the Dawgs can pull it all together and play a complete game this weekend, it could be a great homecoming game for the Purple & Gold in Husky Stadium.
