Former WVU C James Okonkwo Enters Transfer Portal

After spending just one year at the University of North Carolina, big man James Okonkwo is re-entering the transfer portal, according to Jamie Shaw of On3 Sports.
Okonkwo played in just 15 games this season for the Tar Heels and averaged one point and one rebound per game. The most action he saw in a game was eight minutes, which happened three times earlier in the year against Charleston Southern, Syracuse, and Boston College. In the blowout win over CSU, Okonkwo had his best outing with seven points and four rebounds.
During his two years at West Virginia, the British big man averaged 2.3 points and three rebounds and appeared to be well on his way to starting for the Mountaineers but that all changed when Bob Huggins resigned last summer.
