West Virginia Contacts ECU Transfer Ezra Ausar

Darian DeVries is currently conducting two searches at the moment, mostly by himself. He’s still working on identifying and finalizing his coaching staff while also recruiting experienced players in the transfer portal who can provide an immediate impact for a very in experienced, and thin roster.
According to Jamie Shaw of On3 Sports, DeVries has reached out to East Carolina forward transfer Ezra Ausar.
East Carolina transfer Ezra Ausar tells @On3sports he is in contact with the following schools since entering the Transfer Portal.

The 6-foot-8, near 250-pound sophomore finished the season as the Pirates’ third-leading scorer and rebounder averaging 11.4 points and 4.7 rebounds per game. He shot 51% from the floor, 65.3% from the free throw line, and went 6/16 from three, showing he has the ability to step out and knock down a triple every now and then.
Ausar played extremely well in East Carolina’s two games in the American Athletic Conference tournament, posting 28 points, 10 rebounds, two assists, and two steals in the win over Tulsa. He followed that up with a 14-point, 9-rebound performance in the loss to South Florida.
Ausar has heard from Arizona State, Georgetown, Georgia Tech, Iowa State, Oklahoma, Ole Miss, Seton Hall, Utah, and Virginia Tech in addition to West Virginia.
He will have two years of eligibility remaining.
