New Weapons in Fortnitemares 2023
One of the most exciting parts of any Fortnite event are the new weapons and items you’ll find in-game. Here are some of the weapons you can get your hands on this Halloween season.
- Wood Stake Shotgun: This shotgun can be found on the ground as well as in regular chests, rare chests, and holo chests.
- Thorne’s Vampiric Blade: This Mythic blade is only available when you defeat Thorne. When you damage enemies you also gain health.
- Pumpkin Launcher: This is the classic Rocket Launcher but reskinned with a Jack-O-Lantern so it’s better.
- Witch Broom: An OP mobility item that lets you fly super fast and drop at a time to take opponents off guard.
- Sanguine Sweets: Halloween treats come in the form of Candy Corn, Pepper Mints, Hop Drops, and Jelly Beans that you can find in candy buckets.

New Character Skins in Fortnite
Despite how slow he moves around in the films, you can now become Michael Myers and try your hand at killing opponents in the battle royale. Jack Skellington is also grinning and dancing his way into Fortnite. Alan Wake is the third skin on its way. All three characters are not coming until later on during the event.

Fortnitemares 2023 Quests and Rewards
Fortnitemares is coming with quests that let you earn XP towards level progression and rewards. More quests will come out as the event continues. Here are the quests that are available right now.
- Complete 5 Fortnitemares quests to earn the Bat Royale Back Bling and a Cat banner icon
- Complete 15 Fortnitemares quests to earn the Sweet! emote, Phantasmic Fall Contrail, and Hypno-Bat spray
- Complete 25 Fortnitemares quests to earn the Revenant Rider Glider, Within the Sanctum loading screen, and Rise of the Revenant lobby track
Horde Rush Returns With New Quests and Rewards
The fan-favorite spooky limited-time mode is back for Fortnitemares. Monsters will rush you in waves. Make it through each wave by pulling off dope combos until you reach the final boss.

- Complete 4 Horde Rush quests to earn the Heart-o-Lantern Emoticon
