How to Get Animals Onto Your Farm in LEGO Fortnite

LEGO Fortnite has introduced a lot of interesting new elements to the battle royale, like building a village, creating a community, and running a farm. If you’re wondering how to start a farm, the first thing you’ll need to do is get some animals.

To get animals onto your farm, you have to lure them onto your land. This can be confusing at first, but once you know the process you can keep luring animals and build up your farm.

How to Lure Animals To Your Farm

After a bit of experimenting, gamers have realized that you need to tantalize animals with food they like to get them to live on your land.

Start by building a pen on your farm. This will be where your future animals will be once you get them onto your farm.

Every animal has their own taste, but you’ll most likely need to gather berries, corn, and vines. Then, find a group of cows, sheep, or chickens to start luring. Drop their favorite food on the ground, creating a path of the food that leads to the pen you built.

You’ll be able to tell that the animals are interested when you see a question mark pop up above their head. Once they are intrigued and follow the food into the pen, place a fence to close them in. Make sure it’s close enough to the pen to enclose them inside.

Why You Need Animals on Your Farm in LEGO Fortnite

If you are busy building a farm and village in LEGO Fortnite, you will need to dedicate some time to getting animals on your land. This is because animals have specific items they can offer you.

When you pet each animal, this is the material you’ll get:

  • Chickens - Eggs
  • Sheep - Wool
  • Cows - Milk

These items are really useful for crafting, with eggs and milk helping with a lot of recipes and wool is the base of a lot of items. Having animals on your farm will make it even easier to gather these materials and start crafting even more useful things.

Can You Hunt in LEGO Fortnite?

If you want these useful resources there are two options: Build a farm and lure animals over or go out and hunt them.

If you ended up choosing to build a farm, you won’t need to go hunting every time you need a certain resource. But if you don’t like building too much, you can go out and hunt wild animals. This will take more time than just having them at your farm at the ready, but it can be fun if you enjoy target practice and hunting simulators.
