R.A. Dickey wants Blue Jays playoff games to be Canadian holidays

Wednesday October 7th, 2015

The Blue Jays are back in the playoffs for the first time since the team won it all in 1993 and pitcher R.A. Dickey wants to make sure the people of Canada get to enjoy every moment of the postseason run.

The team’s first two ALDS games against the Texas Rangers will take place on Thursday and Friday in Toronto with Game 1 starting at either 3:37 p.m. or 4:07 p.m. ET and Game 2 getting an even earlier start at 12:45 p.m.

While Dickey may have some trouble getting the entire nation the day off from work, he can be sure that there will be a significant drop in productivity in Canada at the end of the week.
