The MLB’s official hat maker and baseball card provider are teaming up to offer fans free packs of baseball cards that include special inserts containing autographs and swatches from game-worn hats.

New Era and Topps will hand out a free four-pack of baseball cards featuring Bryce Harper, Kyle Schwarber, Josh Donaldson, Jacob deGrom, Marcus Stroman, Andrew McCutchen, Joc Pederson and Dellin Betances with the purchase of an MLB cap at Lids locations,mstarting Friday.

The inserts are limited to 99 each so you will have to get lucky to walk away with one of the special cards.

I know it is dumb to want part of a stranger's hat inside of a baseball card, and yet I really want a baseball card with part of a stranger's hat in it.
