Passion is what makes college football. For more than a century, the raw, intense love by fans towards their schools has made this sport what it is.
What are the most passionate fan bases in each state across the country?
Big Game Boomer podcast released a map of where each state stands in terms of its most passionate college football fan base.
Let's just say: you might be surprised.
The show didn't list what kind of metric they used to come to these conclusions, but a few decisions do certainly stick out.
First of all in Florida, where UCF came out ahead of college football powerhouses like Miami, Florida State, and Florida.
Auburn came in ahead of the Crimson Tide in the state of Alabama, and A&M over the Longhorns in the state of Texas.
Fresno State beat out USC in California and Michigan State over Michigan.
Safe to say there will be some disagreement about these findings.
