The animosity between Deion Sanders and Jay Norvell goes further than we thought, as we learned in a new video that appeared in an Amazon documentary about the Colorado football coach.

Back in September, Colorado State coach Jay Norvell took a dig at Deion during his weekly radio show prior to the Rams' game against Colorado.

"I sat down with ESPN, and I don't care if they hear it in Boulder. I told them, 'I took my hat off and I took my glasses off,'" Norvell said. "And I said, 'When I talk to grown-ups, I take my hat and glasses off.' That's what my mother taught me."

In the "Coach Prime" documentary produced by Amazon, new video shows the post-game handshake between Sanders and Norvell after Colorado's dramatic victory over the Rams.

"Congratulations... and I was never talking about your family," Norvell told Prime.

But Sanders replied: "Oh, you was talking about my momma."

"No I was not," Norvell responded.

Again, Sanders said: "Yes you were. Yes you were."

Colorado trailed its in-state rival by 20 points at home in the fourth quarter of that game, but rallied to take down the Rams in a 43-35 double overtime victory.

And although the win put the Buffaloes at 3-0 on the season, it also resulted in the loss of star two-way player Travis Hunter after he absorbed a late hit.

"This rivalry has been going on way longer and before I got here," Norvell said after the game. "It's going to be going on way after I leave... I wish the best for [Sanders]."

Colorado won just one more game the rest of the season, a 3-point decision against Arizona State, finishing 4-8 overall and finishing in last place of the Pac-12 standings.
