Ohio State football player gets $150,000 Bentley in new NIL deal

Ohio State quarterback C.J. Stroud is living it up in his second year as the Buckeyes' starter.

A year after leading the No. 1 offense in college football and finishing as a Heisman Trophy finalist, Stroud landed a major NIL deal in which he'll receive a Bentley Bentayga in partnership with with Sarchione Auto Gallery, a dealer in Canton, Ohio.

Stroud received the $150,000 luxury car in a deal that includes the quarterback promoting the car dealer on social media and making a public appearance at its gallery.

Ryan Burton, the general manager of Sarchione Auto Gallery, released a statement on the company's deal with Stroud.

"When you talk to people, whether it’s in the community or at the game, our brand awareness is what we're building," Burton said, via Columbus Dispatch.

"So when you have the best-of-the-best promoting your brand, it only does good things.”

The world has certainly changed in the decade since Jim Tressel had to leave Ohio State over the so-called "Tattoogate" scandal.

Stroud reportedly had offers from other dealerships, but chose the Canton-based business instead.

Stroud emerged as a household name in Ohio and among college football fans nationally after a bombshell first season as the Buckeyes starter.

He completed nearly 72 percent of his passes for 4,435 yards with 44 touchdowns and just six interceptions, culminating in a Rose Bowl victory.
