Alabama wide receiver Agiye Hall transfers to Texas for 2022 college football season

Texas landed a major commitment ahead of the 2022 college football season as former Alabama wide receiver Agiye Hall announced he pledged to the Longhorns.
Hall, a 6-foot-3, 195-pound receiver entered the NCAA transfer portal earlier this month after taking part in the Crimson Tide's spring practice this offseason.
Alabama head coach Nick Saban confirmed that Hall was no longer with the football program, saying that the player had violated team rules. Now, he lands with second-year Texas coach Steve Sarkisian, who coached the Tide's offense during their national championship run in 2020.
Sarkisian was involved in Hall's original recruitment to Alabama, when the receiver was a 4-star prospect and top 25 overall player out of Florida in the 2021 class.
Hall had four catches for 72 yards last season, including two receptions for 52 yards during Alabama's loss to Georgia in the College Football Playoff national championship game.
Hall joins a Texas wide receiver room that includes presumptive No. 1 option Xavier Worthy, who caught 62 passes for 981 yards and 12 touchdowns a year ago.
Hall will face his former team when Texas hosts presumptive No. 1 Alabama in Week 2.
