At the time of this posting, the Atlanta Braves trail the Arizona Diamondbacks, 5-2, in the bottom of the ninth inning.

Despite that deficit, and possible loss, the Braves did get home runs from Marcell Ozuna and Austin Riley. Riley's home run was measured at 451 feet.

The most powerful team in baseball showed off that power again and Sarah Langs of MLB.com pointed out that the Braves power has joined the top of the baseball record books:

the Braves have hit 19 450+ ft homers this year

NO OTHER TEAM HAS MORE THAN 10 (Rockies)

that’s tied for the most 450+ ft HR by a team in a single season under Statcast (2015), with:

the 2021 Rockies

With sluggers like Riley, Ozuna, Ronald Acuna Jr., Matt Olson, and Ozzie Albies, the Braves can do things with the home run ball that no other team in baseball can. That's one of the several reasons why the Braves are one of the big favorites to win the World Series.

Throw in the fact that they are supposed to get both Max Fried and Kyle Wright back from the injured list and the pitching is due to get even better as well.

The Braves entered play on Wednesday at 61-32 so if they lose this game, it won't be the end of the world. They have the largest division lead in all of baseball, leading the second-place Phillies by 10.0 games at the time of this posting.

These two teams will finish out the series on Thursday afternoon. First pitch is 12:20 as Zac Gallen goes for Arizona and Spencer Strider pitches for Atlanta.
