Cincinnati Reds Star Elly De La Cruz Goes Viral For Bat Flip, Joins Special Club in Franchise History Books

In this story:
The Cincinnati Reds lost to the Milwaukee Brewers on Monday night by a score of 3-2, but that didn't stop Reds' rookie Elly De La Cruz from doing special things.
The top prospect continues to be one of the most exciting players in all of baseball despite playing just 41 games since being called up at the beginning of June.
De La Cruz went 1-for-4 in the loss with a 456-foot home run and two RBI. He's hitting .273 since his call up and he's one of the main reasons why the Reds are within 1.5 games of the National League Central right now.
In the loss, De La Cruz went viral for his bat flip after the 456-foot homer, which you can see below:

And he also joined a prestigious club in team history. Per Sarah Langs of MLB.com:

De La Cruz is one of the most "toolsy" players in all of baseball with his ability to hit for power and massive exit velocities. He also has one of the best throwing arms in all of baseball and has set the Statcast record for top infield throw multiple times this year.
The Reds and Brewers will play another massive game on Tuesday night. First pitch is scheduled for 8:10 p.m. ET as Andrew Abbott (CIN) pitches against Corbin Burnes (MIL).
