In this story:

The Los Angeles Dodgers beat the Baltimore Orioles on Monday night in a battle of playoff-contending teams.

The Dodgers won 6-4, improving to 54-39 on the season while the loss dropped the Orioles to 57-36.

The big blow in the game came in a five-run sixth inning as Dodgers utility player Chris Taylor hit a grand slam to centerfield.

With that homer, Taylor now has two grand slams for the season. He also helped the Dodgers make some fun and unique baseball history.

Per ESPN Stats & Info:

Chris Taylor joins teammates Freddie Freeman, Max Muncy and James Outman with multiple grand slams this season.

The Dodgers are the 4th team all-time to have 4 players with multiple GS in a season, joining the 2018 Yankees, 2002 Cleveland and 1999 Cleveland.

The home run in general has become more prevalent in the last 30 years, so it makes sense that all the teams who have done this are from more recent history, but it's still an impressive of display of power - and clutchness - from the Dodgers all season long.

As for the 32-year-old Taylor, that was his 12th homer of the season to go along with 30 RBI. He's hitting just .214 but does provide the Dodgers amazing versatility with his ability to play anywhere on the field.

He's in his 10th year in the big leagues with the Mariners and Dodgers, having carved out a home in LA since arriving in 2016. He is a career .253 hitter and helped the Dodgers win the World Series in 2020.
