An Incredible Stat Regarding the Playoff Failures of the Los Angeles Dodgers

In this story:
The Los Angeles Dodgers won the World Series in the COVID 2020 season, so they do have some hardware in the trophy case.
That said, the last three years have seen the Dodgers fail to add to that trophy case - and in historic fashion.
Per ESPN Stats & Info on social media:
The Dodgers had 317 regular season wins in the last 3 seasons and have 0 World Series appearances.
That is the most wins by a team in a 3-season span in which they did not reach the World Series.

LA won the National League West this year with another 100-win season but was bounced in the NLDS by the Diamondbacks in a three-game sweep.
While yes, this was a postseason failure by a team that was expected to go far, it does come with some nuance. The Dodgers dealt with serious injuries to their starting rotation, which really hampered them come playoff time.
Walker Buehler missed all of 2023 while recovering from Tommy John surgery. There had been talk about him coming back for the late season/playoff run, but it never happened.
Furthermore, the team lost both Dustin May and Tony Gonsolin to season-ending injuries and Julio Urias was placed on the restricted list. That's four power arms that the Dodgers didn't have. Rookie Bobby Miller and trade deadline acquisition Lance Lynn softened the blow of those losses in the regular season, but both struggled in the playoffs.
When the Dodgers are healthier in 2024, they should be right back in contention yet again.
