Los Angeles Dodgers' Mookie Betts Powers His Way to Top of This Impressive All-Time Leaderboard

Los Angeles Dodgers star Mookie Betts hit another leadoff home run on Friday night, continuing his dominant season out of the top spot in the batting order.

The Los Angeles Dodgers were beaten by the Miami Marlins on Friday night 11-3, halting the Dodgers' winning streak at 11 games.

Despite the loss, superstar outfielder Mookie Betts continued to make history for LA, hitting yet another leadoff home run.

Per Sarah Langs of MLB.com:

most leadoff HR before September in a single season:

2023 Mookie Betts: 11

2022 Jose Altuve: 10

2019 George Springer: 10

2003 Alfonso Soriano: 10

2002 Jacque Jones: 10

1973 Bobby Bonds: 10

It's been an incredible season for Betts, who was named an All-Star again this year. He's hitting .296 with 32 home runs and 82 RBI. He's also stolen eight bases while providing defensive versatility and his ability to play all over the field.

The 30-year-old is one of the top players in all of baseball and is a lifetime .293 hitter with 245 home runs and 731 RBI. He's a seven-time All-Star, a six-time Gold Glove winner, a five-time Silver Slugger, a two-time World Series champion, a batting champion and an MVP Award winner (2018).

He helped the Dodgers win the World Series in the COVID-shortened 2020 season and certainly could do the same this year. Los Angeles is 74-47 and owns the second-best record in the National League, behind only the Atlanta Braves.

As a result of looming Hurricane Hilary, the Dodgers will now play a doubleheader on Saturday against the Marlins.

Game 1 will start at 3:00 p.m. ET as Eury Perez (MIA) pitches against Caleb Ferguson (LAD).

Game 2 will start at 9:10 p.m. ET.
