Los Angeles Dodgers' James Outman Does Something That No Rookie Has Ever Done
The Los Angeles Dodgers beat the Toronto Blue Jays 8-7 on Tuesday night, winning in extra-innings via a walk-off double by rookie James Outman.
It was an important win for the Dodgers, who maintained a 4.0 game lead on the Arizona Diamondbacks in the National League West, and a disappointing loss for the Blue Jays, who are now only 1.5 games up on the Boston Red Sox in the American League wild card race.
With his overall performance, Outman made some unique baseball history.

James Outman of the @Dodgers is the only MLB rookie in the modern era to go 3-for-3 or better with multiple walks, a stolen base and a walkoff hit in a game.
The last time any player did all that in a game was on September 26, 1998, when Rickey Henderson did so vs. the Angels.
Outman is hitting .247 this season through 300 at-bats. He's got 12 home runs, 43 RBI and 11 stolen bases in total - while posting a .768 OPS.
He made a brief cameo in the 2022 season and owns 13 career home runs and 46 RBI.
In addition to Outman's contributions, catcher Will Smith went 2-for-5 while Freddie Freeman added an RBI and two runs scored.
The Dodgers and Blue Jays will play again on Wednesday afternoon to close out the series.
Blue Jays lefty Yusei Kikuchi will pitch against Dodgers righty Tony Gonsolin.
Kikuchi is 7-3 with a 3.92 ERA on the season while Gonsolin is 5-3 with a 3.94.
