The Los Angeles Dodgers lost to the Toronto Blue Jays in extra innings on Monday night (6-3) but that didn't stop Dodgers slugger Max Muncy from putting himself in an exclusive class in team history.

Per Dodger Insider on Twitter: Max Muncy is one eight LA Dodgers all time with at least four 25-home run seasons.

This doesn't include Dodgers history prior to coming to Los Angeles, but it's still incredibly impressive. Muncy has quietly been one of the most productive players in Dodgers history since arriving in 2018.

He's not hitting for a high average this year (.201) but he has the 25 homers and 65 RBI. Lifetime, he's a .227 hitter with 169 homers and 449 RBI.

He began his career with the Oakland Athletics, spending two years by the Bay, but has been become an integral part of the Dodgers organization. He helped the Dodgers win the World Series in the COVID-shortened 2020 season.

Despite the loss, the Dodgers are still in first place in the National League West. Thanks to a five-game losing streak by the Arizona Diamondbacks and a six-game losing streak by the San Francisco Giants, LA is up by 4.0 games in the division.

The win was important for Toronto, who has won six of its last 10. They remain in third place in the American League East and are holding onto the final spot in the American League wild card race.

The two teams will play again on Tuesday night at 10:10 p.m. ET as Chris Bassitt (TOR) pitches against Julio Urias (LA).
